NEUROPROCESSING / OPEN NEUROSCIENCE COMMUNITY

An open neuroscience community.

Good questions grow through conversation. Meet people studying the brain, compare approaches and share what helps you learn.

For students, researchers, educators, developers and curious minds across neuroscience, neurotechnology and computational research.

EN / فاConversations in English and Persian

Message the admin on Telegram. Entry follows a membership review.

Learn through conversation

Different backgrounds. Shared curiosity.

Ask about a concept, unpack a paper or compare experiences with a research tool. The community connects neuroscience discussion with the practical work of learning and doing research.

  • A paper you are reading

What does it show, and what would you need to know before building on it?

  • A method you are learning

Share a useful tutorial, a reproducible example or a specific technical question.

  • A connection worth exploring

Bring perspectives from biology, medicine, computation, engineering or behaviour.

Find your conversation

Follow the questions that interest you.

These themes offer starting points. Choose the relevant topic in the Telegram group so others can find and follow the discussion.

  • Neuroscience

From cells and circuits to cognition and behaviour. Connect concepts across levels of explanation.

  • Papers & Journal Club

Discuss a research question, examine a figure and distinguish a finding from its interpretation.

  • Q&A & Guidance

Ask a focused question about a concept, a learning route or a research problem. Include useful context.

  • Methods & Tools

Compare workflows for signals, imaging, modelling and AI. Share code and tools with their limitations.

  • Learning & Resources

Recommend courses, lectures, datasets and tutorials. Explain who a resource helps and why.

  • Opportunities

Share research roles, studentships and postdoctoral opportunities with the original listing and deadline.

  • Open Research

Discuss open data, reproducibility, documentation and responsible reuse of scientific work.

  • News & Events

Explore developments, talks and events in neuroscience and neurotechnology, linked to their sources.

Start here

A short introduction. A shared starting point.

  1. Message the admin

Use the membership button to open a private Telegram conversation with the community admin.

  2. Share a short introduction

Tell us your name, field or current role and neuroscience interests. You can add an affiliation or public academic profile if you wish.

  3. Continue after review

The admin reviews your introduction and coordinates entry. After joining, read Start Here and the rules, then choose a topic. General is suitable for introductions or broader discussion.

Keep your introduction brief and private.

Send the introduction to the admin, not to a public discussion. Please do not send identity documents, student-card scans or sensitive personal information. Introducing yourself publicly after joining is optional.

@Neuroprocessing_ADMIN

How we take part

Curiosity, with care for the evidence.

A useful discussion makes room for both a beginner’s question and a careful scientific disagreement.

The community is for education and research discussion. It does not provide individual diagnosis or treatment.

  • Respect people

Engage with the idea, explain your reasoning and make space for different levels of experience.

  • Show the source

Link the paper, dataset or original announcement. Separate evidence, interpretation and open questions.

  • State the limits

Make uncertainty and the context of a result clear. A model or an early finding is not an established clinical outcome.

  • Respect rights and privacy

Share material you may redistribute. Do not post identifiable patient information or confidential research data.

Two spaces, different purposes

Before you join

A few practical questions.

Who is the community for?

Students, researchers, educators, developers and anyone interested in studying the nervous system. Interests can span neuroscience, computational methods, neurotechnology and research practice.

Do I need a neuroscience background?

You can request membership while learning the basics. Explain your interests in the introduction. Once in the group, give a little context with a question so others can contribute.

Which languages can I use?

English and Persian. English can help a discussion reach people internationally; Persian is also welcome. Both languages use the same community and membership process.

Can I share a paper, tool or opportunity?

Share the original link, explain its relevance and include essential details such as the method, access conditions or application deadline. Respect copyright and the group rules.

How is the group different from the channel?

The group is for discussion and member participation. The channel carries official Neuroprocessing announcements. You can use either or both.

How do I request membership?

Message @Neuroprocessing_ADMIN with a short introduction: your name, field or role and scientific interests. Membership is reviewed manually; access is coordinated by the admin. This is separate from formal team membership or NKN author access.

Bring your curiosity. Start a conversation.

Introduce your interests to the community admin, then take the next step together.
