Neuroscience Knowledge Network

Neuroscience Knowledge Network

English lessons and presentations across neuroscience, with connected topics, references and explanations in the languages educators teach in.

Neuroscience Knowledge Network

Connected neuroscience education.

NKN brings lessons, evidence and related topics into one learning environment. Its educational scope spans neuroscience, from genes and cells to brain systems, body, cognition and behaviour.

Neuroprocessing’s activities in neurotechnology and AI can link to the network. NKN also includes subjects beyond the group’s work, such as a genetics lesson contributed by an educator.

Learn, present and build on a topic.

Lessons can grow through contributions from different disciplines. Each contribution keeps its author, sources and revision history.

  1. Explore a topic

Move from foundations such as genetics and cellular biology to systems, cognition, behaviour and the methods used to study them.

  2. Learn through a lesson

Read an explanation, follow an example, try an activity or use a presentation in a class. Sources stay close to the ideas they support.

  3. Follow connections

Find prerequisites and related topics. Scientific connections show their evidence; suggested reading routes help you decide where to go next.

  4. Teach and develop

The contribution model supports educators, researchers and approved students building lessons, revising slides and linking their work to shared topics.

Try a slide explanation.

This interface example keeps the slide in English and offers two authored explanations. Only languages with an explanation are listed.

A lesson, a topic, a connection

Read the explanation. Follow a related topic. Return to the slide.

Explanation

Public, authored explanations for this slide.

Only languages with an authored explanation are listed. English is available as a fallback.

English

Use this slide as a starting point. Open an explanation to read the author’s explanation, then explore a related topic when one is linked. Return to the slide whenever you want to continue. This is an authored example of how a public slide explanation can help a reader.

Contribute a lesson or an explanation.

Suggest a topic from your field, an original visual or a research-method example. You can also propose an explanation in a language you teach in.

NKN is in development. The slide example works here; public author accounts, the editor and the connected learning world are being built. The planned workflow records independent scientific review separately from author approval.
